How we build the directory
We combine two public sources. Business details such as location, phone, hours, and photos come from public map listings. The surgeons at each practice are then matched against the federal National Provider Identifier (NPI) registry maintained by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. When we find a match, we show the credentialed surgeons on record with their state license number and note that the practice is in the NPI registry. When we do not find a match, we say so plainly.
Ratings and reviews
Where available we show a practice's Google star rating and review count as attributed text. These are third-party figures reported by Google, not a score we assign, and we do not publish them as structured ratings.
Editorial independence
